ABOUT PHIL BEANS
I'm a creative director and digital builder with roots in advertising, editorial and product design. Early in my career I trained at Sheridan's advertising program, interned at Winkreative - Monocle Magazine's creative agency - and opened and managed the Monocle Shop in Toronto.
Over the years I've crossed into software - working as a product manager, UX/UI designer and digital builder across fintech, e-commerce and everything in between.
Motion Editorial wasn't planned. A publisher friend of mine called and asked if I could do something different for his new magazine's digital edition. What I sent back wasn't a digital magazine - it was a new format entirely.
