WHAT'S INSIDE
Every element is a designed decision.
Nothing is placed - everything is choreographed
01
Scroll-driven layouts
The reader's thumb controls pace. Content reveals, transitions, and holds are all orchestrated through scroll position - not autoplay.
02
Animated editorial imagery
Static photos brought to life using AI motion tools. A fashion spread becomes a moving moment. An interview portrait breathes. A fireplace turns on for a cozy fireside read.
03
Integrated ad formats
Full-screen takeovers. Sticky scroll units that hold for multiple thumb-scrolls. Ads placed at optimal scroll depths based on real engagement data.
04
Native lead capture
Email capture embedded directly inside ad units. No redirects. No landing page. Conversion happens inside the experience.
05
Full analytics layer
Scroll-depth tracking. Click attribution per placement. Brand, ad type, and scroll position - all measurable.
ABOUT PHIL BEANS
I'm Phil Beans - a creative director and digital marketer based in Toronto. I built Motion Editorial after spending a year going deep on scroll animation and motion-driven UI, then applying it to a real magazine brief with a real publisher deadline. What came out the other side wasn't a digital version of a magazine - it was something entirely new.
I'm now working with a small number of publishers to continue evolving the format. If you're serious about evolving your digital edition - not just putting a PDF online - let's talk.
